While most actresses starve themselves to get slimmer for their roles in films, Zarine Khan was surprisingly told to gain 10 kg before she began shooting for director Anil Sharma’s film Veer.

Reason?

Zarine says that in the movie she plays a princess in the 19th century India. And the princesses in that era used to be quite chubby, as is apparent from their paintings and black-and-white photographs.

So, Zarine piled on weight and indulged her sweet tooth. The result was quite visible in the dresses she wore while shooting. Zarine was visibly chubby in many shots.
