She still enjoys athletics and credits that as helping her keep her body in shape. According to an interview in OK! magazine She plans to enter the 2010 London Marathon. Her measurements are 36DD-24-34. She competed in the Miss Manchester 2006 contest and won the title. Controversy followed as she was stripped of her title a matter of weeks later as she had previously worked as a glamour model, notably appearing in Loaded in the March 2005 edition and on Page Three last in the 3rd June 2005 issue, appearing topless in both. She was tipped to be the first Manchester born Miss England since Beverley Isherwood in 1976. The same year, she won the coveted Miss Maxim UK 2006.
